Three new Sainik Schools have been added to the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) list of participating institutions in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination 2026. The application window for AISSEE 2020 will be open until October 31, 2025. Students who are seeking admission into Classes 6 and 9, can apply through the official website, exams.nta.nic.in. The application correction window is open from November 2 through 4, while the entrance exam will take place in January 2026.
New Schools Added
These schools have been added to the list of approved Sainik Schools in the AISSEE 2026 information bulletin. They are Sri SPK Public Senior Secondary school, Namakkal (Tamil Nadu), Vadem Nagar Higher Secondary school, Vasco (Goa), and Yogeshwari Sainik, Ambajogai (Beed), Maharashtra. These schools have been added to the list of Sainik Schools approved in the AISSEE information bulletin 2026.
In June of this year, the Ministry of Defence approved the establishment of 86 new Sainik Schools in India as part of an initiative to create 100 schools of this type across the country. The goal was to improve military education and training for school-level leaders.
Admission to the New Sainik Schools will be available through two routes: the 40% route (Category A), which will fill seats based upon the All India Merit List of AISSEE-2026; and the 60% route, reserved for students currently studying at approved NSSs based upon a school-wise list.
